Onto more important topics, the DEATH RACES.
Winter- March 2nd. Pittsfield VT. Start time 6-8pm. Lasts between 16-24 hours typically. Participant #32. Obstacles range from wood chopping to snow trekking to swimming in a pond…. because swimming in March is sane right?
#32 is scared shitless, but also totally stoked.
Summer- June 15th (day after my 19th birthday, yay I’ll be 19 for a day). Pittsfield VT. Start time 12pm. Lasts up to 3 days, no sleep. Participant #50. Obstacles range from wood chopping to miles of barbed wire to chugging milk to carrying tree stumps, and so on. I really enjoy carrying tree stumps 😉

Training so far has included lots of farmers walks, sledgehammer slams, walking forward planks (to simulate crawling under barbed wire), pvc pipe carries, tire flips, sled pushing, kb swings, boxing, push ups upon push ups, and walking mindlessly with a heavy backpack.
So far I’ve bought – some base layers and a maul.
This maul to be specific. I still need an axe, oh and a knife. No, I won’t kill anyone…. pinky promise.
I still need more gear, like a weekend pack, water bladder, shoes, smartwool socks and hydropel. Yes, hydropel is going to save my life.
